About Us   Listen to Trax

Thanks for stopping by the American Movie Trax website. I’m Cuttyrod, the creator of a new and unique radio show. One of the goals is to bring together diverse individuals for interesting, funny, thought-provoking discussions about movies and cinema-related topics.

American Movie Trax is a radio show that seeks to provide the average film watcher the chance to speak their mind and provide “reel” opinions about movies from the “Golden Age of Hollywood” to current feature films. Other discussions include what certain influences American cinema has on society and how Hollywood deals with a variety of social themes and specific issues.

The time is now!...According to U.S. Theatrical Market Statistics from the American Motion Picture Association of America, movie box office dollars has gone from $7.66 billion in 2000 to last year’s record making $9.62 billion!, the highest domestic box office return in U.S. history.

Today, film viewers are more knowledgeable about movies and the production process thanks to more theaters, DVDs, cable and satellite channels. Print media and the Internet have also served to enlighten film watchers. The time is now!...for a new type of program that gives movie fans a chance to be heard. The show will be just as engaging and high-spirited as radio shows about politics and sports by using movies as the “launch pad” for a variety of discussion.

Show samples and some complete programs are available here. If you’re interested in being a participant for a future show or advertising opportunities contact us!
